Who We Are and What We Do
The University Compliance Office (UCO) serves to strengthen University-wide compliance by providing SUPPORT, COORDINATION & OVERSIGHT to distributed compliance programs throughout the University.
To achieve this purpose, the University Compliance Office carries out the following functions:
- Trains, educates and raises awareness of the Code of Conduct, Code of Conduct Values, the University Compliance Helpline, the importance of acting with integrity and speaking up;
- Monitors, supports and coordinates individual compliance functions across campus;
- Operates the University Compliance Helpline;
- Partners with compliance professionals across campus to strengthen processes and controls;
- Investigates or supports investigations related to alleged Code of Conduct and policy violations;
- Monitors and coordinates remediation and corrective action plans;
We all play a role in contributing to a culture of ethics at Stanford by acting with integrity and speaking up with questions and concerns.
